The course of study will allow the individual to research and study themes and issues based in psychology. Students will cover different psychological approaches and theory and through a preparation to work module they will learn how to apply these theories in practice.
Modules or areas of study include (including options and practical/theoretical content, project work):
you will normally have to have one of the following:
1. BTEC vocational qualification at level 3 in an appropriate area
2. At least on A level pass in an appropriate area
3. An alternative level three qualification in an appropriate area
4. Mature applicants must possess relevant experience/literacy skills.
All applicants will undergo a formal interview.
Completion of the foundation degree can lead to entry onto the second year of a BSC hons qualification in the University of South Wales or the third year of a combined studies degree at the University of South Wales. Students are expected to undertake voluntary work throughout the duration of the course.
